We cycled about 45 miles today from Amsterdam, NY to Little Falls, NY. Much of the route was dirt or sand, which slowed us down. But that's not necessarily a bad thing with the gorgeous views we enjoyed.
The mosquitos were troublesome, but we fended them off as we ate nearly ripe wild blackberries and raspberries.
And Saya made a friend along the way:
We stayed in the town of Little Falls (can you find the name behind me in the pic?) and gave the kids a treat, taking them to see the movie "Earth to Echo."
Sho convinced me to let him stay for a double feature and watch "Transformers" while Eiko put Saya to bed in a motel next door. I snuck out of the theater to capture this beautiful sunset.
